This article will recommend some Magisk Modules that I am currently using.

Blobmoji#

Available for download in Magisk Manager

This module can change Android’s emoji to the previous 7.x version, featuring those cute yellow characters at the bottom of the image.

Busybox for Android NDK#

Available for download in Magisk Manager

Anyone who has played with Android to a certain extent should know what Busybox is for. It is mainly for other apps and modules to install.

Google Lens Enabler#

Not available in Magisk Manager, but here is a mirror I have: Google Drive

As the name suggests, this enables the Google Lens feature. Additionally, it has an extra effect of providing unlimited space in Google Photos (though I’m not sure if it actually works or just appears to).

LKT#

Available for download in Magisk Manager

A kernel tuning module. Based on my current experience, its Balanced Profile has good power-saving capabilities. However, I am not sure about its performance for high-performance games, as the games I play do not require high performance.

Additionally, I have developed a manager for this module that allows easy switching between its built-in modes: LKT-Manager

Magisk Manager for Recovery Mode (mm)#

Available for download in Magisk Manager, but it is recommended to use TWRP instead of the Manager for installation

A must-have tool if you want to play with Magisk. It can save you when you can’t boot due to Magisk Modules.

Usage#

For the first time, flash its zip in TWRP, then you can try entering mm in TWRP’s Terminal to see its effects. The functions are all interactive and the English is not difficult.

When you need this tool again, you don’t need to flash it again. Just enter /data/media/mm in TWRP’s Terminal to call its functions.

Note If you are using a version after 201904040, change the above /data/media/mm to /sdcard/mm.

Riru - Core#

This is a core module relied upon by some other modules, enabling some modifications to Android’s internal programs. The modules I introduce below that start with Riru - all require this to function.

Riru - Ed Xposed#

Download from GitHub: releases, and use the EdXposedInstaller provided as the manager

A third-party Xposed for Android Pie, requiring the above Riru to function. Although the official version supports Oreo and Pie, if you are an Oreo user, it is still recommended to use the official version.

This is the effect and usable modules I am currently using, and the results are quite good. The best part is that it can pass SafetyNet, which the official version cannot do. However, it has some limitations, such as not supporting the Resources Hook function, so some modules may not work. Additionally, it is said that it may cause issues in some heavily modified ROMs. In such cases, it is recommended to use the mm mentioned above to remove it, allowing normal booting.

Riru - Storage Redirect#

This is an enhanced module for another app called “Storage Redirect”. If you are not using that app, you don’t need to install this module. As for usage, the above documentation explains it clearly.

Swift Installer Module#

This is an enhanced module for another app called “Swift Installer”, which provides a nice dark theme for near-stock ROMs. Its Magisk Module allows it to operate in a systemless state, with the following effect:

YouTube Vanced - Magisk Repo#

Available for download in Magisk Manager

This is the Magisk version of the well-known YouTube mod YouTube Vanced. The main difference from the non-root version is that you can log in to your Google account directly without needing an additional framework like microg. After installation, please go to the Play Store and remove updates for YouTube to get the Vanced version’s effect. Its features include ad-blocking, full resolution on mobile, swipe volume control, and more. For details, you can check the official website, which also offers a non-root version.
